It is the form of yoga today most copied and source of inspiration for many forms and styles of modern day yoga. However our teachers are the rare few in the world authorised from the Ashtanga Yoga institute to teach it. Come and get a glimpse into what is Ashtanga Yoga, and sample how to start practicing over a weekend. This workshop is for all levels especially beginners to yoga or movement in general.

In addition to founding & teaching at Mysore Room daily he continues to teach workshops across South America, Europe, Middle East, Asia & Australia. There are no requirements or limiting factors to begin Ashtanga, Manuel meets every student at their starting point & brings them to levels they never thought imaginable thru this practice. He believes in consistency & hard work over talent any day & a longterm approach to Ashtanga is the best way to benefit from this practice. Hailing from Portugal Manuel enjoys surfing since a teen when not on the mat loves photography & spending time with his family.
Perlin Loke
Perlin’s Ashtanga Yoga journey began in 2018, when a friend introduced him to Yan & Manuel at Mysore Room KL. His immediate affinity & passion for the practice helped him navigate the lowest points in his life & a background in the fitness industry with a post-graduate diploma in sport science has provided a solid foundation for a sustainable practice. Perlin’s transformative moment deepened during a trip to the source of Ashtanga in Mysore, India, under the guidance of Paramaguru Sharath Jois, which inspired him to share this powerful method with a broader community. As a late bloomer to teach yoga, he brings a mature approach, knowing age is not a limiting factor to start & receive huge benefits from Ashtanga. Beyond Yoga, Perlin is a dentist by profession whom enjoys nature, food, travel, architecture & cherishes great company.
